An entrepreneur is always looking for a void or a need to fill. Let’s take a moment and evaluate what type of needs we are seeing in the world today. Here are just a few: Success in Marriage hovers around 50%. We have a declining birth rate per family. Economically, 23 million Americans are looking for work. This creates a population under stress from economic pressure. Up to 50% of all college grads can’t find the job they have been prepared for by school. Our national debt is in the 10’s of trillions. It appears that the load of that burden is being kindly kicked down the road to our grandchildren due to the failure of our current society not willing to take responsibility for this issue. If you look around, people are not as motivated to pursue the American dream of owning their own business because of the risks involved in the traditional models. It’s also possible that entitlement programs have something to do with taking away the incentives that moves people beyond their complacency. Relationally, we’ve defined ‘Friends’ as a social networking term. No longer do people grow up with qualities like, faithfulness, loyalty, or empathy to build a friendship. Could there be a need for a leadership model that teaches people how to prepare to handle these indicators I just listed?
Does anyone see a need? How well has our population been prepared for the challenges of life? Orrin Woodward and the Policy Council have invented a unique business model over the last year. The LIFE business is a personal development business model that produces world class information in the areas of ‘Friends’, ‘Finance’, ‘Fun’, and ‘Following’, just to name a few. Qualities like integrity of character, conflict resolution, work ethic, discipline, responsibility, persistence are just a few of the leadership skills people are learning to equip them for the real problems of life. They have also taken a step further by developing a leadership model that compensates people when they develop these qualities in others.
Beyond the reward for personal development lay the real crux of the LIFE business and that is a model that develops leaders who learn how to create streams of income from developing communities of leaders. This is where leaders develop other leaders. Essentially, a model that develops leaders has not existed before. There are degrees in school where you can achieve a leadership major but there has not been a business that compensates someone who develops a community of leaders. The Team system makes it possible to duplicate communities of leaders similar to a franchise model.
There is a call to action for people of all different social and economic spectrums to come together and fill a leadership void. There are still those out there who recognize this void in the world and are willing to come together and make a difference. We all see the indicators. We have all witnessed a gradual downward spiral in the areas that really matter to people,. These skills prepare people for life.
As one would expect from a leadership model, vision and innovation are some of the by products. Solutions can be found for the problems people want to solve. There is a group of people in the world who have not given up on their dreams and see how a model like this can fit their personal goals. Recently, we witnessed the Hawkins and MacNamara families achieve the Policy Council level showing how leader’s can influence hundreds and even thousands of people when you apply a leadership system. Bigger and better are the words that will describe a business that is in the midst of inventing an industry. There is currently high anticipation for the launch of the new book ‘Leadershift’, by Orrin Woodward and Oliver DeMille. Instead of watching those troubling indicators I described why not join a group of leaders committed to changing the decline? God Bless, George Guzzardo
