There is an unprecedented excitement and conviction coming out of the LIFE Business major convention. After one year it is evident that the business is working in a big way. People from all over North America are succeeding when they use the Power Player play from the Team system. When the Power Player recognition started last weekend, it seemed like everyone in the stadium walked across the stage. Teams are working together better than ever before and the compensated community concept is primed to become the dominant business model of the twenty first century. Successful businessman and author Clifford Pinchot wrote, “Effective leaders today use tools of community building to create an environment in which many leaders can emerge. They contribute inspiring descriptions of a shared vision to align everyone’s energies….The organization of the future will be a community of entrepreneurs.” Welcome to the LIFE business.
There are intangibles associated with a successful community of entrepreneurs. After you find a vehicle to get you where you want to go you need an unwavering conviction to achieve your dream. Align yourself with a team of people in which you can share a similar passionate conviction. Form a bond and become accountable to each other. Does your dream stir a passionate emotion to do what is necessary? You must be convicted to your commitment. These convictions create enthusiasm and focused energy. You will need focus to accomplish your goals. Make your convictions toward your goals bigger than your distractions.
Unfortunately we have a major cultural shift causing unprecedented loss of optimism and hope for a better future. For the first time people have less hope that their children will have a better future than they did. We have never had an abundance of government entitlements that create an attitude of dependence and apathy like we do today. Politicians are smart and they know they can get votes when they offer something for nothing. There are many who would rather take the easy way out. Have we lost the passionate pursuit of a dream in favor of government dependency? Former President of Godfather’s Pizza chain and chairman of the National Restaurant Association Herman Cain wrote, “The entitlement attitude is a disease. If someone is in denial, it is difficult to fix that. We are not going to convert everybody, but we can convert some. It starts with education. People must see that their dreams are short – lived when they depend upon the government to make them happen.” Author Jonathon Hoenig, a member of the Economic Club of Chicago wrote, “The rich are seen as people who hoard “society’s” wealth. This idea of the rich succeeding at our expense is why we hear the expression that businessmen should “give back” to society, as if they stole something from the rest of us. It is why we hear talk about the poor not getting their fair share.” This entitlement trend cannot be sustained. Former Comptroller General David M. Walker warned, “The only thing the United states is able to do after 2040 is pay interest on massive and growing federal debt.. The model blows up in the mid – 2040’s.”
America was built on a passion to pursue an opportunity! A belief in one’s inherent ability creates a feeling of self – significance. Passion produces resilience. Conviction overcomes resistance. A dream that stirs passion creates a source of determination and courage. Self worth and self - esteem can be acquired when you act consistent with the pursuit of your dream. Pursuit of a vision and a dream ignites conviction! So many of us are grateful that we met Orrin Woodward and started the LIFE business. It’s an opportunity to be convicted for a better future. Living the life you’ve always wanted can happen. God Bless, George Guzzardo
