I thank Orrin Woodward and the Team Leadership system for any success I have achieved from my LIFE business. Before I joined this leadership business I never realized how a system could be applied to business not only for profit but for personal development. By learning leadership principles and teaching them systematically, I have been able to see others enhance their lives as well. In addition, I have seen some phenomenal leaders develop and use this training system to impact thousands of people.
Orrin has some great perspectives about systems in his new book, ‘Resolved 13 Resolutions For LIFE’. In Chapter 11 he says, “Systems consist of people, structures, and processes that interact to produce results.” He goes on to quote Peter Senge in his classic book, ‘The Fifth Discipline’, “Systems thinking is a discipline for seeing wholes. It is a framework for seeing interrelationships rather than things, for seeing patterns of change rather than static snapshots”. We’ve had the great opportunity to read from great systems authors like Michael Gerber and his book the ‘E- Myth’ as well who describes how systems produce an extraordinary result. It gives the customer what they want systematically so the product is predictable.
Having been a student of the Team Leadership system for the last eleven years I can say today that, “I Love Systems.” Any success that my wife, Jill, and I have achieved has been a direct result of learning, applying, and teaching systems. When using a system for your business you begin to learn the concept of leverage. Leverage is one of the keys to wealth as it makes it possible to compound your effectiveness. When leveraging a system in a business, your return is time in addition to money because the system does the work, not you. Most people can’t make money without time and more importantly don’t have time to make a life. All that changes with systems. Duplication creates an exponential result as opposed to a linear result that most self – employed people use. This makes it possible to have something bigger than you.
The LIFE business powered by the Team Leadership system leverages information. In one of the recent Team leadership books ‘Influencer’, the authors describe how thinking effects change in behaviors. These behaviors go on to create positive change in areas of parenting, coaching, community leadership, and more.
I still say the ‘Launching a Leadership Revolution’ book is the best book on leadership, influence, and how they can be used systematically. By making a point to read these books and apply the information, people can be the positive change that is needed in the world today.
